A Committed Family Company
Four Leaf Milling Pty Ltd is a family company. The
five members of the Dunn family are all involved in
this vertically integrated operation, which includes
farming their 2,500 acre farm, operating their own
mills and packaging and distributing their own product.
Clean, Fertile Farm
The farm that has been certified bio dynamic since
1989 has been chemically 'clean' for the past 80 yeas,
the only blemish being one application of super phosphate
in the early 1940's. The farm is located in rich red
soil country near Tarlee, South Australia's prime
cereal growing area. Farming practices place great
emphasis on continually improving soil.
Vertically
Integrated Allowing Quality Control
The majority of the Four Leaf products are grown on
Four Leaf Farms, particularly those derived from wheat,
barley, oats and rye, allowing highest quality control
at all process stages. The area is considered to produce
some of the best oats in Australia and Flour Leaf's
bio dynamic rolled oats, which even when independently
tested were found to have some of the highest levels
of Vitamin E ever encountered.
Own Design and Built Milling
Operation
The family has designed and built the milling equipment
used including Sienna granite stones required to meet
the rigid specifications for high quality flours.
These stone mills ensure the grain is milled at slow
speed without excessive heat thus preserving the integrity
of the quality and vitamin content of the flour.
